Hi! I stumbled across this blog while researching for a paper on the psychological makeup of musicans.

As a musician, I kind of cringed reading your post. I promise some of us value being level-headed and considerate. But I do have to admit you raise some pretty good questions- after all these are stereotypes for a reason : ]

I think it's because we're very in tune with wild vivid emotions and feelings. Sometimes we get bored or unconcerned with more mundane things and that can come across as being inconsiderate. However this should not ever be used as an excuse.

Anyways, hope this works as some food for thought!
